Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 - Zanzibar to Central Serengeti

Upon landing at Seronera Airstrip around 11:00 a.m., you’ll be greeted by your dedicated Serengeti Steppe safari guide. With picnic lunch boxes prepared, your journey into the Serengeti begins. Around midday, you’ll pause for a scenic bush lunch before continuing your game drive in search of the park’s legendary big cats and diverse wildlife. By evening, you’ll return to Matawi Serengeti for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the wilderness.

Day 2 - Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Start your day with an early sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, the perfect time to witness predators on the move and experience the golden glow of the savannah as the sun rises. After a relaxed late breakfast, you’ll set out on your journey toward the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. The drive doubles as a game-viewing experience, with opportunities to spot the Big Five, witness parts of the Great Wildebeest Migration (seasonal), and encounter diverse wildlife along the way. En route, you’ll also visit a traditional Maasai boma. Here, you can join in traditional Maasai dances, explore an authentic village, and browse local handicrafts, a cultural highlight that adds depth to your safari adventure.

Day 3 - Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar

After breakfast, you’ll descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World. Your first impression of this vast, green caldera begins at a panoramic viewpoint, offering sweeping views before the game drive begins. Home to over 120 mammal species, including the legendary Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of Africa’s premier safari destinations. Here, you may spot the endangered black rhinoceros grazing on open plains, watch hippos wallow in cool waters, and capture unforgettable images of lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and large herds of wildebeest, zebra, antelope, and buffalo. You’ll pause for a picnic lunch by the famous hippo pool before returning to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your onward flight to Zanzibar, where pristine beaches and turquoise waters await.
